| Client | Specify the client number from SAP to which to connect. |
| Host name | Type the Fully Qualified Domain Name of a valid host name. You must include the port number of the application server to make the setting valid. |
| User name | Type the user name of the administrative user used to access the service. |
| Password | Type the password for the administrative user. Each time you make a change to any of the settings in the Connection details dialog box, you must type your password again. |

Advanced settings

| Setting | Description |

| Language | When you connect to SAP, you define a language so that the text in the user interface is provided in the required language. By default, English (EN) is selected as the language of the SAP system. Optionally, you can remove this value and type the proper country code for your system, for example DE (Germany). |
| Identity UID Source | Type a comma-separated list of attributes to use as an Identity UID source. The list can include one or more of the following attributes: - INF105USRID - INF02PERNO - INF709PERSONID_EXT - INF02INITIALS Note: The UID source attribute INF105USRID is spelled differently than in the SOAP output field INF105USERID described elsewhere in the document. This is a built-in issue. The UID source is determined on the basis of the first specified attribute in the list that has a specified value. Example: If you type “INF02INITIALS, INF709PERSONID” (without quotation marks), then INF02INITIALS is used as the Identity UID as long as it has a specified value. If INF02INITIALS is empty, but INF709PERSONID has a specified value, INF709PERSONID is used as the UID. If both attributes are empty, a ComposedBusinessKey is created based on the system’s ComposedBusinessKey and the attribute INF0PERNO. This also happens if you do not specify anything in the Identity UID source field. |
| Timeout in seconds | The number of seconds before a timeout occurs when calling the web services. By default, the value 3600 seconds (one hour) is selected. Optionally, you can change this value to increase or lower the value. |

The SAP Extension Attributes cannot be chosen freely but must be a part of the pre-defined set of names made available for each object type. The Data Warehouse Extension column lists the possible extension attribute names for the object.

Configure thresholds
As the SAP collector has, by default, the category set to Both, the thresholds only apply to Access data, meaning Accounts, Resources, and ResourceAssignments.
