Users and user groups
In Omada Identity:
-
A user is anyone with the authorization to view and use Omada Identity.

A user group is a collection of these same users.
In Omada Identity, users and user groups can be assigned:

Access to objects, processes and views, in what is referred to as the Data Object Security Model (DOSM).

Roles (for activities in a process).
Users view
When you open the Users view, you can see a list of all users stored in the system.
As a System administrator, or a user with access to this view, you have several actions available, depending if you plan to do it for one user or several.
Individual update
To update a specific user, as a System administrator, you can use the context menu options:
- Delete - to delete the user.
- Edit - to edit the user.
- History - see when the user was created or updated, and by who.
- Move - select a new location for the user in the tree structure.
- Print - to print the user details.
- Reference tree.
- Reset password - change the password for the user.
- Roles - see the authorization roles for the user.
- Security - see and update the permissions of the user.
- Sent emails - see the emails sent by the user.
You can disable or enable the context menu for views in the Setup > Administration > Views.
Mass updates
When, as a System administrator, you need to update or collect information about all or more than one users in the list, click the Page menu option in the toolbar, and then click Mass update to select which properties to update.

Create users
Users are normally created when a new identity is onboarded. Follow these steps to create a user:

Go to Setup > Administration > Users & Security > Users.

Click New.

In the User Details section, fill in the required fields: Username, First name and Last name.

To associate the user with an identity, click the icon next to the field and select the relevant identity.

In Other settings, set the required Regional settings, Language, Time zone, Work week and Group memberships.

Click Apply. Changes are saved and the Security summary toolbar button is enabled.
