Sequences

The Sequences view allows you to customize the order numbers of the data objects created.

It is available under Setup > Advanced configuration.

Configuration​

You can configure sequences using the following parameters:

  • Name - the name of the sequence. This name will be retrieved and displayed in the Number sequence dropdown field of the Data object type view.
  • Offset - the starting number of your sequence.
  • Increment - the value by which your data object number will be increased, for example, if your first data object number is 1 and your increment is 5, the next data object number will be 6, and then 11, and such.
  • Relaxed - select this checkbox to allow the sequence numbering to not be consecutive. This is recommended for performance reasons when you use a sequence for data object creations with a high volume of transactions (like access requests, surveys, resource assignments, activities, process templates).
