Release highlights
We've just released Omada Identity Cloud update! What's new?
Production environment required threshold
To improve resource management and ensure stability it is now mandatory to configure provisioning thresholds for production environments. Without the threshold configured, any manual or automatic change to the desired state configuration carried a risk of creating an unpredictably large number of provisioning jobs.
As a protection measure against this unwanted behavior, all systems are required to have thresholds configured. When they are not configured, any newly received provisioning jobs are by default directed into preview mode. It doesn't disable provisioning, instead each provisioning job needs to be reviewed individually, until the threshold is set.
Information about systems without the thresholds configured is visible in the System Overview widget under the Prov. thresholds enforced category. Selecting it opens a list of systems allowing you to navigate to provisioning and update configuration.
Javi AI assistant
Omada's AI Assistant Javi is now available in the Microsoft Teams Store! Javi is designed to transform the identity governance user experience by providing a universal conversational interface for performing a variety of common tasks. Javi can assist you with access requests and approvals, answer your questions about Omada Identity, and deliver other quality-of-life improvements while seamlessly integrating with your work environment. See Javi for details.
Key features:
- Access requests: submit and manage access requests with ease.
- Access approvals: approve access requests directly within Microsoft Teams.
- Q&A using Omada Documentation: get answers to questions and retrieve documentation quickly.
- Scheduled notifications: receive notifications on pending approval.
- Multilingual conversation: interact with Javi in multiple languages.
Processing terminated
identities
The introduction of Horizons improved performance, scalability and brought additional functionalities, for example identity merge, without drastically changing how data is manipulated during the import process. However, terminated
identities were filtered out from the processing stage which made managing updates and attributes for terminated
and re-hires
identities challenging.
The May Cloud Update introduces changes to the behavior during import, addressing those challenges. For all new cloud environments requested after the May Cloud Update, the terminated
identities are no longer filtered out.
For existing environments, the new behavior can be enabled by changing the default value of the FilterTerminatedIdentities customer setting to false.
By default the FilterTerminatedIdentities setting is configured to true. We recommend to change the setting value to false value initially in the non-production environment. It allows to test how re-hires
and terminated
are managed, and if the tests are successful contact Omada Support to change the setting value in the production environment.
UI and UX
We have introduced the following improvements:
- Utility columns (Checkbox and More) now have a fixed width and position in data grids and their menus have been disabled. Also, they are now blocked from being hidden.
- Mandatory columns in the Approvals view are now marked with indicators to improve clarity and ensure required information is provided. They also cannot be hidden by the user/administrator.
Requesting access for non-human identities
We have introduced a new, tailored workflow for requesting access for non-human (technical) identities. See Access request for details.
New homepage widget: Request access for non-human identities
You can now add a homepage widget for creating access requests for technical identities. Go to Setup and then, in the Administration section, click Homepage configuration. Add a new widget using the + button. See Access request configuration for details.
Improved filtering of access rights
We have improved the filtering options to make finding access rights assigned to an identity faster and easier.

This feature is currently only available on the Access Rights tab in the Identity form.
For more details, see the Access Rights tab section of Identities.
Omada Identity Analytics
Role Insights dashboard
There are two new actions available on the Role Insights dashboard:

- Promote Role: We have introduced a new option to promote Role Candidates to Roles (Resource objects) directly from the Role Insights dashboard.
- Refresh data model: We have introduced a new on-demand option to refresh the Role Insights data model and dashboard. This allows admins to re-process Role Insights to discover potential new role candidates.
See Role Insights for more details.
This dashboard requires a paid subscription.
Access Navigator dashboard
We have enabled a new version of the Access Navigator dashboard, which now encompasses the previous Identity Details and Resource Assignments dashboards.
See Access Navigator for more details.
Documentation of dashboards
We have published the documentation for the following Omada Identity Analytics dashboards:
