Password management

Here, you can find information on how to:

• Enable the password reset processes,

• Create or edit a password policy,

• Edit the default challenge questions for an unauthenticated password reset.

Those configurations are required for the following processes to be fulfilled with success:

Process	Business case
Initial password	When new identities are onboarded, they receive their initial password automatically.
Enroll to the password self-service reset	Identities want to reset their password by themselves, answering challenge questions.
Unauthenticated password reset	Identities are logged out of their accounts and want to reset their password by themselves.
Authenticated password reset	Admins want to reset passwords on behalf of other identities. Users are logged in, and want to change their password.
