Surveys

This section is meant for non-administrator and administrators users and describes survey functionality that end-users and managers may require to be able to use Omada Identity for their purposes.

This section introduces how to operate these processes in a standard installation of the Omada Identity software.

Your organization may have changed some of the functionality presented in this guide to suit your organization's needs, but you can use this guide as a point of reference to get started with the processes that you need to complete your tasks.

This section includes several screenshots to explain the system functionality. Note that the look and feel of Omada Identity may have been altered to fit your organization's needs and requirements and that some options mentioned in the guide may not appear in your version of the Omada Identity.

What are surveys?

A survey is a manual evaluation process that enables a manager or administrator to classify resources, as well as review, approve or disapprove resource assignments, access requests and access statuses in Omada Identity.

List of out of the box survey templates

The following list shows the standard survey templates provided with Omada Identity.

  • Approve requested access: Survey used for evaluating self-service access requests.
  • Manage control policy exceptions: Survey launched when one or more control policy exceptions occur. The exceptions are assigned to users derived using the Resolver reference path stated on a control policy.
  • Deleted context survey: Survey for reviewing the contexts that have been removed.
  • Review joined identities: Survey for reviewing joined identities in Omada Data Warehouse (ODW).
  • Access review for managers: Survey for reviewing access. Questions are assigned to the managers of the identities that the assignments are for.
  • Access review for resource owners: Survey for reviewing access. Questions are assigned to the resource owners of the resources that the assignments are for.
  • Account ownership survey: Survey for assigning ownership to accounts with non-confirmed owner.
  • Classification survey: Survey used to review and manage classification of systems, resources, folders, contexts or identities.
  • Resource classification survey: Survey used to review and manage classification of resources.
  • System classification survey: Survey used to review and manage classification of systems.
  • Transfer ownership survey: Used when an identity leaves the organization. Before that happens, the organization must transfer the objects that this identity owned to another identity.
warning

By default, the transfer ownership survey includes all ownerships found for the objects. This includes ownerships that are managed by the target system and imported to Omada Identity through the warehouse. In such a case the ownerships are not replaced, but the new proposed ownership is added to the object with the ownership defined by the target system. This can be changed by applying source filter. For more information please refer to the Data source filters section.

  • User Mailbox access review:Survey for reviewing calculated resource assignments for access to Exchange User Mailboxes. Questions are assigned to the managers of the identities that the assignments are for.
  • Transfer identity survey: This survey is used for reviewing identities that are transferred from one organization to another. It is launched when the identity's OUREF, with the Employee or Contractor category, is changed.
  • Role certification survey: Survey for reviewing role and child resources contained in the roles.
info

The survey types Access review for managers and Access review for resource owners are similar in functionality.
